What is Teaching?

Empowering students means giving them a sense of ownership of knowledge and activities, and using methods to motivate them to learn, such as challenge, curiosity, control, fantasy, competition, and cooperation.

Teachers today understand that their most important role is to get to know each student as an individual so they can understand their unique needs, learning style, social and cultural background, interests, and abilities. Think about your own teachers and the influence they had on you, both positive and negative. Teachers are important in helping us learn and grow, and it's important for them to be well-trained and caring toward their students.
